Starting in New Austin today folks..
We’re starting in Tumbleweed for today’s challenges. We’ll visit one of the shops then head to the river to fish and pick Thyme. Then we have the stranger missions to tackle. Let’s Get into it…
Visit a Shop in Tumbleweed
Start in Tumbleweed. Ride past the front of the butcher’s stall and that counts as a shop visit. Nice easy start to the day.
Creeping Thyme
There is a lot of Creeping Thyme around Tumbleweed. As you come down the hill out of town there is a patch next to the ‘E’ in New Austin. There is another patch on the ‘N’. That should be enough to complete the challenge but if not then there is another patch just to the south of the ‘N’. Cross the railway and you should spot it.
Fishing
The island south of Scratching Post on the San Luis river is a great fishing spot. There are Pickerel, Trout and Bluegills here. Get one of each then head to Blackwater.
Ride to the river under Bard’s Crossing and fish for Rock Bass and Largemouth Bass.
Sean Macguire
When you finish fishing, check your map for Sean. He will either be in Quaker’s cove or Tall Trees. Speak with him and He will give you a mission. Finish the mission to complete the challenge.
Violet Snowdrops
Depending on where you finish your mission, head to either Wallace Station, Diablo Ridge or Cumberland Forest for Violet Snowdrops. Check around the writing for each location and you will spot them.
Finishing off
Head over to Anthony Foreman in Lemoyne. Complete the mission then Posse Up and get the player kills. That will do it for today…

5 CREEPING THYME PICKED – Creeping Thyme grows in thin soil near river banks or in sandy soil the Desert south of Tumbleweed is my go to spot.
3 PLAYER KILLS IN POSSE VERSES – Form or join a persistent posse with another player and have the leader start up a PvP posse verses such as posse infighting. Kill the other posse members 3 times.
1 SEAN MACQUIRE MISSIONS COMPLETED – Sean Macquire can be found near Quaker’s Cove in the Great Plains or in Tall Trees. Ride to him, accept and complete the mission he gives you.
5 TYPES OF FISH CAUGHT – Use different baits and lures in different places to target different types of fish. Swamps have different species to lakes so try swapping spots to get the variety
5 VIOLET SNOWDROP PICKED – I go to the glade under the “WALLACE” of Wallace station for mine. Just watch out for the bear! The banks of the Dakota River North of Cumberland falls and Cumberland Forest are good spots too.
VISITED A SHOP IN TUMBLEWEED – Simply head down to Tumbleweed in New Austin and go to one of the shops or the butchers. Easy Gold!
