Starting in West Elizabeth today folks..
We’re starting in Strawberry for today’s daily challenges. We can do some fishing, then head to Mount Hagen. Let’s Get into it…
Muskies and Cooked Flaky Fish
Start in Strawberry. Ride over to Owanjila. Go to the western end of the lake where the river joins the lake, there are Muskies here. They are easy to spot Lake lure or spinner is the best tactic for them. Also catch some Pickerel or Bass if you need the flaky fish meat. There is a campfire at Hanging Dog Ranch in Big Valley you can use to cook the fish meat.
American Ginseng
There is a plant on the shore of the lake where we have just been fishing. Pick that then head north along the western edge of Big Valley. As you are coming past the word ‘Big’ on the map, and before you reach the ‘W’ there are four more ginseng plants. Two will be on the left of the path then two on the right.
Visit Mount Hagen
Continue on North from Hanging Dog Ranch and you will meet the path that leads to the peak of Mount Hagen. Ride up to the top to get the visit challenge to register.
Finishing off
There is a campsite you can defend to the southwest of Hanging Dog Ranch. There is another at Lake Isabella. If you are lucky one of these will be there when you ride past. Feed your horse then grab your shotgun and load into a Showdown. That will do it for today…

5 AMERICAN GINSENG PICKED – American Ginseng grows in the central parts of the map. It grows as a sole plant usually at the base of trees or rocks. South of Valentine and Scarlet Meadows are great places to find these plants.
3 COOKED SEASONED FLAKY FISH – Flaky fish meat can be got by breaking down fish in your satchel. Pickerels, and Bass will give you flaky fish meat when broken down. Pick up some herbs, head to a fire, season and cook to get that gold.
1 DEFEND A CAMPSITE – Dynamic events happen all over the map. Look for smoke and listen for gunshots. If you see some travellers (wagons circled) being attacked by bandits, go and save them! South of Tumbleweed and the grasslands west of Blackwater are my go to spots for these.
5 HORSES FED – Most herbs collected can be fed to your horse or you can buy apples, carrots etc from the store. Get some food and feed a horse. You can just feed your own horse 5 times.
MUSKIE CAUGHT – Any Northern lake should have Muskie. My go to spot is the Western tip of Owanjila just where the river enters the lake. Special spinner works for me but special Lake Lure works too. Food baits don’t do well.
3 PLAYER KILLS WITH A SHOTGUN IN SHOWDOWN – Equip your shotgun then join a Showdown. Weapon of choice is good if you don’t own a shotgun yet. Takeover or Shootout series are most reliable for registering kills. You will need to be in the lobby beforehand for the kills to count
VISITED THE PEAK OF MOUNT HAGEN – Climb to the top of Mount Hagen in Grizzlies West, Ambarino.
