Starting in New Hanover today folks..
We’ll start in Valentine for the challenges today. Use the stable then head to the Dakota for some fishing. Let’s Get into it…
Change Horse Appearance
Start in Valentine and head to the Stable. Change the appearance of one of your horses. You can usually change the mane or tail to wild for free. Now is a good time to grab one of your wagons if you have one and start working on the distance travelled..
Fishing
There is good Perch fishing on the Dakota river. Make sure you have some bread before leaving town and drop down to the river. Use dead eye to spot them and then bread on the bobber to target the Perch. You might get a few other species taking the bread but with some well placed casts you shouldn’t take long to get five Perch.
Fend off an Ambush
Above the ‘F’ in Cumberland Forest is a good spot for an ambush. There are also two along the north bank of the Dakota running between Caliban’s Seat and the bend up to Cumberland Falls. It’s pot luck if one spawns but if you are persistent you will get ambushed. If nothing else you will get your wagon distance in.
Finishing off
Western Ravens are everywhere. Just shoot and pluck three of them. Grab your Bow and get the headshots in a Free Roam Event then load up your explosive ammo and head into a Showdown.. That will do it for today…

DISTANCE TRAVELLED BY COACH OR WAGON – Get a coach or wagon, your own or a stolen one, and travel the distance required.
1 HORSE APPEARANCE UPDATED – Head to a stables and change the appearance of your horse by changing the tail or main for example
5 PERCH CAUGHT – Perch can be caught in most Northern lakes and rivers. Bread is the best bait and sunny weather. The Dakota River near Cumberland Forest is a good stretch. So is Roanoke Valley.
3 PLAYER KILLS WITH EXPLOSIVES IN SHOWDOWNS – Load into a Showdown and kill players with dynamite. It will only count if you are in the lobby before the match starts. Takeover and Shootout series seem to be most reliable.
PLAYERS HEADSHOT WITH A BOW IN FREE ROAM EVENTS – Free Roam events happen every 45mins and you need to be in a free roam lobby when one is due to start to be invited. Join one of the PvP events and get the Bow Headshot.
1 SUCCESSFULLY FENDED OFF AN AMBUSH – Ambushes happen randomly at certain points around the map. Ride past a spot and hope it triggers. Check out the excellent work of u/thirdlegacy red_dead_online_event_map_ver2
3 WESTERN RAVENS PLUCKED – Ravens are literally everywhere. Shoot 3, pluck them and you have your gold.
