Starting in New Austin today folks..
We’ll start in Armadillo for the challenges today. We have a lot of travelling to do today. Start in New Austin for the Red Sage, then over to Lemoyne to hunt crabs, then up to Brandywine to hunt Moose. Let’s get into it…
Red Sage
Start in Armadillo. Ride south out of town and keep an eye out for a broken down wagon on your right. Opposite that is some Red Sage. A little further along the road is a large rock. If you look round the back of the rock there is more Red Sage. More than enough to get the five plants needed for the challenge..
Crustacean Meat and Bass
Travel to Rhodes then head over to the largest Island on FLat Iron Lake. This is the only place you can get crabs. Shoot and collect them then go into your satchel and break them down for crustacean meat. This is a good spot to fish for Smallmouth Bass too. Use Crickets on the Bobber to target them. Head back to the mainland and use one of the campfires at Braithwaite Manor to season and cook the meat.
Moose
Head up to Brandywine Drop. There are moose around here. Check by the river or in the trees to the left of the northernmost waterfall. They are fairly common up here so you shouldn’t have much trouble finding one.
Finishing off
Posse Up and get the kills in Posse Vs. Smoke or chew your tobacco then try and finish top three with a score in a Free Roam Event.. That will do it for today…

1 COOKED SEASONED CRUSTACEAN – The islands on Flat Iron Lake have crabs on the shore. Get over to the island and kill, collect then break down to get crustacean meat. Pick up some herbs if you don’t have any then head to a fire. Season up that meat and cook it
1 MOOSE SKINNED – Brandywine Drop, Tall Trees, Owanjila and Aurra Basin are all good spots to look for Moose. Find one. Shoot it and skin it.
MULTIPLE PLAYER KILLS IN 5 SECONDS IN POSSE VERSES – Start or Join a Posse and have the leader start a Posse Verses mode such as Posse Infighting. Kill 2 or more players in 5 seconds to complete this one.
PLACE TOP 3 WITH A SCORE IN FREE ROAM EVENTS – Free roam events occur every 45mins. make sure you’re in a free roam lobby when one is due to start to be invited. Join an event, play the objective to score points and try to finish in the top 3. Bit of a time gate on this challenge.
5 RED SAGE PICKED – Red sage can be found in New Austin. North of Fort Mercer is a good spot or try by the side of the main road south out of Armadillo
3 SMALLMOUTH BASS CAUGHT – The cove on Flat Iron lake near the islands west of Rhodes is my go to spot. Crickets are the best bait but they will take worms.
5 TOBACCO SMOKED OR CHEWED – Simply smoke 5 cigarettes or cigars or chew chewing tobacco. All the items can be easily looted or bought from the shop.
