Starting in New Austin today folks..

Tumbleweed to be exact. Visit a store in town and then use the stable to update some of your horse tack (that’s saddles, stirrups etc to regular people). Often you don’t actually have to change anything and entering the menu is enough to get this challenge to register.

Head south out of town and hunt your way down to the San Luis River. You need 20 animals skinned for the next challenge. Just keep in mind that only birds with the ‘skin’ command count. Anything with the ‘pluck’ command won’t count towards this challenge. Once you get to the river, ride along the bank looking for muskrats.

Get two of the muskrats killed and skinned then hunt along the railway until you get all twenty animals skinned or you see a train. Hijack the train and drive it until you get the distance required for the challenge.

Next it’s time to look for an ambush. There are three in Hennigan’s Stead. One north of Hanging Rock, another in Pike’s Basin and another on the main road from Armadillo to MacFarlane’s Ranch. Fend off the ambush after you trigger one then head into a Showdown to finish up for the day.

2 AMERICAN MUSKRATS SKINNED – Muskrats can be found along the shores of lakes and rivers in New Austin, West Elizabeth, Lemoyne and New Hanover

20 ANIMALS SKINNED -This is much easier since the fix. Simply kill and skin 20 animals. Birds with the ‘pluck’ prompt don’t count.

DISTANCE DRIVEN A TRAIN – Find a train, drive it. If you can get a train this is an easy one. The Trolly in Saint Denis won’t work for this one as you can’t drive it. Macfarlane’s Ranch is a good spot to find a train.

1 HORSE TACK UPDATED – Head over to the stables and change an item of Horse Tack. If you have already upgraded your Tack, just switch it out and back again. Easy Gold!

MULTIPLE PLAYER KILLS IN 5 SECONDS IN SHOWDOWNS – Load into a Showdown series from the main or quick join menu. Try and kill 2 or more players in less than 5 seconds. You’ll need to be in the lobby before the match starts for these to count.

1 SUCCESSFULLY FENDED OFF AN AMBUSH – Ambushes happen randomly at certain points around the map. Ride past a spot and hope it triggers. Check out tge excellent work of u/thirdlegacy red_dead_online_event_map_ver2/

VISITED A SHOP IN TUMBLEWEED – Simply head down to Tumbleweed in New Austin and go to one of the shops or the butchers. Easy Gold!
