Starting in West Elizabeth today folks..
Tall Trees is a great area for today’s challenges. Blackberries, Badgers and Cougars can all be found here. Let’s get into it…
Blackberries
Start off at Manzanita Post. Head north, round the back of the main building. Near the outhouse is a patch of Blackberries. There are a couple more patches of Blackberries just to the east. The first patch is just above the first letter ‘A’ in the word Manzanita on the map. The second patch is on the middle ‘A’.
Badgers
You will find badgers all over Tall Trees after nightfall. If you are struggling, try the area around Arora basin. Find two of them, shoot them and sjin them to complete the challenge.
Cougars
There are two cougar spawn points in the area. The first is at Bear Claw at the southern end of Tall Trees. The Second is up in the North of Tall Trees in the area just north west of the first ‘T’. Find and shoot two of them.
Steelhead Trout
Next, ride over to Bard’s Crossing. The stretch of the Dakota River just under the crossing and up towards Limpony is a good Trout fishing spot. Use dead eye to pick them out and a river lure or special spinner to target them.
Finishing off
Head to the railway line, equip a mask from your horse menu if you have one and hijack the train. Drive it for the required distance and you will end up somewhere near Hamish. Check your map for him. He is either at O’Creagh’s Run or Cotorra Springs. Speak with him and complete the mission he gives you. That will do it for today…

2 AMERICAN BADGERS SKINNED – Badgers Glade, I mean Bolger Glade is the place to go for this one, but badgers can be found in most places between dawn and dusk
5 BLACKBERRIES PICKED – West and South West of Valentine is my go to spot for Blackberries. There are 2 bushes near the lone building under the word ‘Valentine’ on the map. One under and one above the N and one above the T.
2 COUGARS KILLED – Check above the ‘O’ in Cholla Springs, above the ‘T’ in Tall Trees or near the windmill on the Southern edge of Blackwater for Cougars.
DISTANCE DRIVEN A TRAIN – Find a train, drive it. If you can get a train this is an easy one. The Trolly in Saint Denis won’t work for this one as you can’t drive it. Macfarlane’s Ranch is a good spot to find a train.
1 HAMISH SINCLAIR MISSIONS COMPLETED – This stranger mission can be triggered by visiting Hamish Sinclair. Try the shack next to O’creaghs’ Run or the camp at Cotorra Springs. Completing the mission completes the challenge.
1 MASKS WORN – You will need to have purchased a mask from Madam Nazar when they were available. Once you have one equip it by visiting a wardrobe or by using the item wheel on your horse. Some people have reported success with a Bandana, so try that.
3 STEELHEAD TROUT – Steelhead trout can be found in the southern rivers. Worms or special river lure are best to use. Just near the island at Scratching Post in New Austin is a fantastic location.
